Ten years is an interesting distance.
Far enough from the beginning to see patterns you couldn’t see while you were inside them. Close enough to remember what you believed before experience had a chance to change your mind.
Ten years ago, Lexico began with ideas about how good work should be done. Some held up. Some changed completely. The work changed us—and we watched it change other people, who carried something forward.
The most meaningful thing about ten years of Lexico isn’t ten years of Lexico.
It’s what happened because of the work. A leader saw something differently. A team had a conversation it had been avoiding. Someone carried an idea into a new role—and then someone carried it further. Good work travels.
So we’re using this milestone as a vantage point—not to build a retrospective, but to look backward with honesty, outward with curiosity, and forward with intent.
On September 24, we’ll gather the people who helped shape the work, share what ten years changed in us, and ask what you can see from where you stand. Not simply to celebrate where we’ve been, but to decide what we intend to carry forward.
